Dr Angela Hall, Associate Specialist in Paediatrics, is involved with our shared care clinics.  We now also offer a consultant-led service most weeks.  The paediatric nephrology team is based in Nottingham but there is usually a duty paediatric nephrologist based in Leicester most working days. Clinics

Shared care chronic kidney disease (CKD) clinics with Dr Farida Hussain and Dr Karen Norman (Consultant Paediatric Nephrologists from Nottingham) occur every month all day on Wednesdays.

Transition

For young people with chronic kidney problems who need to move on from children's services, Dr Kateryna MacConaill is a consultant nephrologist at Leicester General Hospital who provides transition support.  

There are four specific transition clinics each year where young people can be seen with both children's and adult teams which are held at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital.
