Critical care resources

There are 5 paediatric intensive care units across 4 centres within the EMEESY network - Sheffield Children's Hospital, Nottingham Children's Hospital, Addenbrooke's Hospital and two paediatric intensive care units in Leicester Royal Infirmary - one which provides general intensive care and a paediatric cardiac intensive care unit with children's cardiac services.

All 4 of these centres can provide continuous kidney replacement therapies.

Renal critical care educator

Nikki Justice is the Renal Critical Care Educator for EMEESY. She provides specialist nursing support and education for staff caring for children requiring renal replacement therapy within the regional PICUs. This includes Nottingham, Sheffield and Leicester Royal Infirmary.

She also provides support to Addenbrooke's with education provision and provides over the phone support when needed.
