Urology surgery

Children who need complex operations on kidneys, bladders or urinary tract are usually cared for on ward E17.

Conditions that are managed at Nottingham Children's Hospital include

• Hypospadias
• Laparoscopic surgery
• Upper and lower tract reconstruction
• DSD (Disorders of Sexual Differentiation)
• Stone surgery (minimal access and open) jointly with Adult Urology at Nottingham City Hospital
• Bladder augmentation (reconstruction) and mitrofanoff chanel formation
