Swallowing tablets - KidzMeds

Kidzmeds is a project from a team at the Great Northern Children's Hospital in Newcastle to help children swallow tablets.

There are lots of reasons why it is much easier if children can manage to swallow tablets instead of medicines:

• Many medicines are not available as commercially-prepared liquids
• Medicines tend to have shorter expiries
• Tablets are much easier to take on holiday
• Tablets are far cheaper than medicines

With the right approach and encouragement, even very young children can manage to swallow tablets:
